i is so lazy to blog cause i havent been blogging
cause i was making my elizabeth (gintama)
LOL.
i took
6 days in total
mon to sun
oh my
lets see
i dont think i did anything worth mentioning last sat and sun
so lets just cut to my elizabeth process
LOL.
actually its all on facebook
but meh
k
i was
really really bored
and i had 1 week
with nothing lined up
so i just decided
meh
might as well attempt to do my costume
(actually had decided was not going to)
if i can finish it and it looks nice den im gona wear it!
so i started
day 1 (mon):
used the
hard kind of A4 paper
so its like
the radius is the length of an A4 paper
stuck it tgt
with thick sticks to hold it in place
and newspaper to make sure the inner parts dont flop
LOL.
so with that done,
extended another A4 layer abv it
to make the rounded shape
+ lots of masking tape
stuffed the whole area with more newspaper
wrapped it with masking tape
den
paper mache it
aka tapioca starch to stick on layers of newspaper
den i just made afew layers on the first day
as long as i get the shape done
left it to dry overnight
day 2 (tues):
was somewhat dry and hard
so i took out the newspaper stuffing inside
pasted afew layers of newspaper on the inner side
to make it look nicer
since i just pretty much ripped out the stuffings
so its kinda
ugly and torn inside
LOL.
so i pasted more layers on
and extended the bottom half the width of a A4 paper longer
if not the sides will curl out
which is what im tryin to avoid
left it to dry overnight
day 3 (wed):
as u can see
the bottom part is clearly much longer than in the prev pics
and it was
pretty darn hard ardy
removed the
inside that blue outline i did on day 1
so the inner part is literally
empty
just a shell (some what)
so i went to hg mall to get my materials
mainly foam
to stick around it
uh
to make it abit spongy
and white
LOL.
the cloth is kinda see through aft all
sticking in process
done
was in the process of making the eyes and mouth
and somehow along the way
made a mess on the floor
and i was bored
and had left over foam

LOL.
day 4 (thurs):
this is
the first layer of cloth
its just long enough to cover the part i made
den thrs gona be a 2nd layer
that goes all the way down to the floor
cause like i said
the cloth is thin and kinda see through
so i had to do double layer
to make the lines inbetween the foams i pasted on
less obvious
but it honestly looks like a dustbin

this are my parts
left side is the arms
den right side
eyes and mouth
the mouth...
used paper plate
fold in half
stuffed some foam inside to make it rounder
and sewed cloth around it

so recycled
LOL.
the eyes were just circles cut out from white foam
day 4 (thurs):
had to cut a hole through the 2 layers of cloth
and the paper mache itself
to see through
and for the mouth
so...
hail cutter
im awesome with it
i mean
im amazed i didnt cut myself
or rather
its amazing i actually managed to cut out the shape nicely
LOL
so anyway
behold
it is done
stuck on the eyes with glue
the upper mouth was stuck on with a thumbtack
that splits open at the end
idk what u call it
den the ends were taped with masking tape
the lower mouth was just masking tape
den the arms were sewed one
used the ladder as support to hold it up
cause its too tall
lolol
day 5 (fri):
made the make shift hat to hold the head in place
and to avoid placing newspapers on my head
LOL
(i didnt cover the inner part. its still newspaper)
so
with the help of cutter and styrofoam boards my father foam
and loads of masking tape once again
tada.
thats..
bubble wrap
apparently since the area is too wide
and flat
the thing just...
slants and falls off balance
i think i used finish all of the bubble wrap i had
to stuff the sides
oh well
at least it stays on now
so i
stuck it to the middle part inside of the head
and
this is how it looks like with the 1st layer

and the body was
kinda too narrow / straight
cause i made it the same width throughout
so the lower parts
look narrow
its ugly
LOL.
so
had to redo

day 6 (sat):
drew a new arm
measured
cut
sewed
its alot bigger den before
also extended the lower part wider
i mean
open up the seams at the back
and added in more cloth
in triangle shape
so it becomes wider downwards
AND IT IS DONE.
see
definitely nicer than the one with tiny arms
adjusted the mouth too

day 7 (sun/today):
got hl to come over this morn
around 11
some what drew out the feet shape
its pretty much flippers of some kind
i only drew one side
den i got lazy
so i asked her
wanna go to the clarke quay cosplay shop
to take a look at clothes
cause i dont wanna cosplay alone
LOL
so i called hq along too
den went there
aft 2hrs of deciding
they finally chose their costume
its rental tho
and damn ex
tho buying is even more ex
LOL
lets see
buying would be
$288 for 1 of the costume
but rental is $90
still
ouch
lol
so rented 2 costume
total price came to $209
asked/bargained/begged/whined for discount
became $200
LOL.
actually that $200's just the rental price
still had to pay deposit
which was actual buy price - rental price
eeeh..
in short its like another $200+
LOL.
have to pay when i go collect the clothes
O_O
since its on the way home from sch for me
i go collect
aah.
so heavy.
aaah.
LOL.
collect on 11 nov (fri)
return on 14 nov (mon)
actually rental was only 3days
bargain summore
extended to 4 days
more convenient
LOL.

hq bought a wig too
actually when we asked
